I’ve been pretty ill since last weekend, and it’s just a simple cold, but it’s been strong and with tiredness added in (more tiredness than I realised) it kind of knocked me for six this week. I’ve managed to see some of my lovely home friends despite this and it’s been good to catch up. Simple pleasures have been even better than normal, having been away from them…for example hanging out in Costa coffee. And the weather is looking up which is always a bonus.
Katie’s boyfriend Josh came to stay here and it was really nice spending time with him. I helped Mum clear out some stuff on Thursday and made a French dish for dinner, called tartiflette, which turned out well, so I was happy. I’ve been relaxing too, something which I find difficult to do, but hey, it’s the holidays and I need it!
